I often hear blacks use the term pro-black and wonder what does it really mean. Some say that pro-black means spending with your own race; while others say it means not working for the white man at all. I have concluded that the last thing a black man can afford is over spending or not working for the white man. How many blacks have successful businesses and can afford to hire another black enough wage to care for his family? While it maybe a few; it is definitely not enough. So how are we realistically supposed to accomplish “pro-black.” We can’t while we might want to fatter ourselves into thinking it’s possible to manage a family and get ahead relying strictly on our successful brother or sister, it’s by no means possible at this point, and if someone’s tells you differently, I suggest you verify that he or she is totally “pro-black.” More than likely they are supported by white dollars, and depending on your dollars for their achievement and success. Don’t believe the hype.
While I support the idea of advancing black dollars and business; I have to be realistic and say, “we are not there yet.”
Let’s put this in perspective. I have heard many “leaders” say don’t deal with the white man. Don’t friend him, don’t spend with him and some have even said don’t accept his money. However, after closer observation I find that most of these so called “leaders happen to deal very closely with the white man and his dollar. For funding, platforms, and even collaborate with them whenever possible. I even saw one brother that was having a hard time making money on YouTube as “pro-black” say, he was going to get a job. From the white man.
So let me get this straight. We are the one race with the most challenges, then any other race; but suddenly we can afford through generational wealth, to follow the pro-black commandments. Don’t buy from the white man or sell to the white man.
The strangest thing is when you try to deal with the “black community” it seems the only love they have for you, is hate. They will pull the very mustard off your bread, and feed it to the dogs, just to witness your downfall.
Since when has the black community gotten so uppity that even if we thirst to death, we will not eat from the white man’s plate; yet we will not support the brother or sister, unless they bow down to you, “the white man’s puppet”.
I am so tired of hearing “what we need to do is this” and “what we can’t do it that.” While these so called “leaders” sell us out for a dollar to “the man!”
The blind cannot lead the blind.
Do you brothers and sisters and when we get to the point that we can afford to do ourselves, we will. But above all take care of your family the best you know how.
Peace and Blessings.
